Excellent review Danny, congrats! I'm on my way to point this out to a buddy looking for a DAC. :thumb: :thumb:

Any idea as to what tubes the reviewer replaced the stock ones with?

Also, a novice question. Is the I2s input the same as the I2s input on the Perpetual Technologies P3-A? I would guess so, but the USB designation mentioned w/ I2s here has me concerned as to what it is, and if it is different. I'm thinking of running my P-Tech P1-A into the mod'd DAC 60 via I2s instead of the P-Tech DAC.
Thanks.

I'd have to do some digging in some e-mails to figure that out. Mike Knapp shared it with me and I passed that info over to Jeff at Sonic Craft. Jeff had me A/B a ton of tubes to see which ones sounded the best. This was research for the upgrades that are offered and will be offered. Jeff said that we already tried that type of tube and that I culled it. It may be good and quite an upgrade over the stock tubes but not as good as the ones that come in the stage 1 mod.

Thanks, Danny. No need to dig deeper as I would go with the stage 1 mod anyway.

Concerning I2s, an I2s input is an I2s input, right? No special variants, etc...

They don't have I2S input on them yet.
