I know, you can't even get them yet except in kit form from Danny, but we've had prototypes for months! We offer notonlyouropinions, but thoseof several others. There's also some measurements and an interview with Danny.

Awesome, look forward to reading it!

Here's the direct link. To be honest I actually found it hard to find (it's a long page with a lot of scrolling, the letters "LS-6" are not that apparent, and I skipped over the image the first time because I registered "AV123" which is not what I was looking for... just some feedback from a user :) )

Given that this is a line source, the sensitivity probably doesn't drop like a typical loudspeaker. Its probably more like 3 dB/m versus the 6dB/m. So what is the sensitivity for the LS6 and LS9? Minimum amp power? The impedance looks fairly benign, any graphs on the phase response ? I take it that no sub is needed nor recommended right?

Thanks Danny,

Anand.

From: http://av123forum.com/showpost.php?p=333608&postcount=45: (and directly from Danny here on the 'Circle)

"I am going to conservatively rate them as 90db 1 watt/1 meter. Keep in mind that a line source only looses 3db per doubling of distance, unlike a point source that looses 6db per doubling of distance. So at 4 meters away the output is equivalent to a point that is rated at 96db sensitivity."

DeeJay you took the words right out of my mouth (or something like that).

I had no problems driving them to good levels with my 50 watt mono-blocks, but also had a blast driving them with the Doddzilla amps. Yes, they are easy to drive.

I am pretty sure these will play down into the mid to low 20's even in a pretty large room. In my room and Art's room they were flat down to 20Hz. I think you could get by without a sub.

I didn't have any phase response graphs saved.

Wow.  All i can say is that these are some serious lust-worthy pieces of kit

Great work Danny, thanks for making me daydream and try and justify these to myself.  I've just said "Maybe if...." about 3 times already :):)
