Good luck with the auction. I would be interested to know what you end up getting for this - I found one in my friends metal shop under a pile of crap with a luxman amp...nice sounding preamp.

I had one of these, along with the power amp back in the late 70's.  It was a nicely thought out and built preamp with flexible controls.  A true full function preamp.  I remember the sound was clean but, a bit dry.  I always thought it was the TL072 op-amps that were the culprit for this dry sound.  I would be interested in knowing what is meant by "updated".   And, was changing the op-amps included in this "update" by chance?  I thought I read on some other forum in the not too distant past that these op-amps were, in fact, changed.
