Rick is also working on a less pricey line array which he plans to call "Array of Hope" for the poor and downtrodden.

Seriously, it's going to be a interesting project. I'm also buying a large quantity of drivers if anyone would like to get a great deal on a kit

If this is (and I believe it is) the same speaker one of my customers just purchased, they are a high effeciency design as well. I think he mentioned 95dB/96dB

He is also getting the sub towers. Nice work Rick!

This is a sealed box so it's -3db @ 55hz. That makes it ideal for use with a subwoofer. We could build a larger ported cabinet to extend the bass to -3db @ 45hz; however, most of our customers want bottom octave extension and only subwoofers will do that unless you apply a large amount of active EQ. This is my reference now, the best array that I have designed.

The Incredarray has built-in dual 12" subs but the Pro5 array is designed to work with external subwoofers. This particular version is also wired for a high impedance because the owner is going to use an OTL amp. Tonally they are different due to the different woofers plus the Pro5 ribbon allows a lower crossover point. The 7" woofers can cross in the 55-60hz range versus 70-80hz for the 5" woofers. I've also voiced the Pro5 array differently and it shares a similar voicing to the Accuarray that you have and the Revarray.

The Pro5i has more "body" in the lower treble, more open sounding in that area, but a slightly softer top end response. Due to my previous experience using the Pro5 in a center channel I had expected that and it makes sense given that the ribbon is longer and wider. Off-axis the Pro5 is still exceptional though and with the element being .6" wide it has better horizontal dispersion than a 1" dome or the planar drivers from BG and others.

That would be an excellent combination. It's just a matter of tradeoffs and what your goals and preferences are. The 5" drivers typically cross higher to subs but have wider horizontal dispersion. The 7" drivers of course move more air and have greater excursion capability (though the excursion is rarely taxed from using multiple drivers). We also consider the sensitivity and interior volume needed for the design.
In listening I find that the differences of my current arrays are subtle but the AOD design takes the performance to a new level.

I expect the price will be around $16,000/pair. Deluxe crossovers,grills, standard veneers, and shipping included. You'll need to add subwoofers and the Linanite is a good match.

This particular pair is configured for a higher impedance (minimum 10 ohms, average 13 ohms) to suit the owner's OTL amp. I can also design it for a 4-ohm load if desired. Sensitivity is 95db or 98db depending on which configuration you choose.
