Anybody know if this is a Class D application or a switching power supply pushing Class A/B?  Thanks.

Hey!

Hmmm... Stereophile did a review of an Onkyo integ-amp that use  WRAT  in this month issue and from the description Onkyo's WRAT is a class D out put stage amp. I don't know what it use for the power supply though.

BTW... the review was quite positive for that integ-amp.

Take care,

WRAT is not a class-D application. Onkyo receivers with WRAT have been around since way before class-D amplification hit the consumer market. Also, I checked Onkyo's website to see if the A-9555 class-D integrated listed WRAT as a feature, and it does not.

I don't know what WRAT really does for you, but I'm pretty confident it has nothing to do with class-D amplification technology.

Enjoy,

Hey!

Well, I guess maybe I've read it wrong or the Stereophile is wrong.

    Oh! Well...
