APL modified Pioneer 563A   $450
Has full multi-channel modifications and brand new transport (replaced by Alex three months ago)
It lives up to all the expectations of an APL modified player.
Overall has had little use. Redbook and SACD are both great. I also used it as a transport into my paradisea DAC, but the APL without the paradisea was better. The 563A had a much more detailed presentation in my system.
Has one flaw. To view the setup menu, for some reason I have to use the component cables. Of course it makes no difference at all to the sound. Otherwise I would have rated it higher.
I have box, remote, and guide.
I will include Signal Cable MagicPower Digital Reference power cable if sold at asking price. I tried a volex and Element Red Storm and the Signal was the best.
