Here are some near-new, mint condition speakers from HSU Research that I assembled for a HT system for my wife.  Good fortune changed the audio plans at least, so they are now available for sale.  You probably know HSU from their subs, but they are now offering a full line of attractively-priced speakers direct-only from California.

I would have never imagined, but these are pretty great speakers for the price.  The HB-1s are especially stunners at their $143 each delivered price.  Steve Eddy in Affordable Audio suggested they make one wonder why spending (even ten times) more is necessary/makes sense.)  They are not SOTA, but they just don't do too much wrong.  The only downside is what I describe as their "plain Jane" cosmetics (with my apologies to Jane.)

The HC-1 is their matching Center channel that sells for $215 delivered.  The HBH-12 is a "mid-bass monster" ... a new concept introduced by HSU to enhance both mid-bass level and quality and also ultimately benefit the low-end reproduction.  It retails for $529 delivered.

I have six of the HB-1s, one HC-1 and one MBM-12 for sale.  They are all just about 45-days old and are in the Black finish.  There is a lot more information available at the HSU Research website.

I am the one who bought a pair of the HB-1s and my friend Pinakin bought another pair.  I've been comparing them to my main speakers and they sound almost as good in sound quality as my mains when I A-B them.  The only things my 8 times more expensive speakers prevail over the HB-1s is a slightly fuller sound and an octave of bass.  I was planning to connect them to my flat panel TV, but now they replacing are the Celestions in my bedroom system instead.  The Hsu HB-1 are killer budget speakers!  Thanks Scott for selling them to me at such an attractive price!
