Living in Havana with very uncertain electricity has lead to the need of a HT UPS.  Since I have a Belkin Pure AV conditioner, I thought I would add the AP30800.  We shall see in about 3 weeks when it finally gets here how well it does.
Next I bought the latest oppo 980, as it has USB2 out.  I figure I can just connect it too, my airport extreme which will soon have a 1/2 TB HDD on it for the jukebox effect.
I will update this thread when all has arrived through the pouch and set-up.

Ok,  I have them both hooked up as of 2 days ago.  They finally came in on friday, but you fathers (and few mothers out there) know it is not easy to mess with the TV. 
The sound of the Oppo is well worth the upgrade from the Samsung 841.  It really makes me appreciate the hidden power of my H/K receiver.  The video, I have not really noticed a difference.  Could be the lack of calibration, my monitor.   But soon I will be able to tell with a good SDVD. 
I did get goose bumps when I listened to Metallica's DVD-A today.

The UPS has a meter on it, and even with the 5.1 cranked it only hit the 4th out 5 load bars on the bassey notes.  I am feeling pretty confident now, with the safety of my equipment now.

Now that I have both Belkin in the chain before the A/V the sound is clear, and only the sound of the A/C is heard.

Things are getting set up for the HT and the HT Halo 3 experience     I am not very familiar with this UPS - what can it do?

Looking forward to it! But I had better get my own UPS - the 360 is a PC after all. And most HT equipment including TVs have "computer chips" in them

Speak of the devil, I just lost power and the generator kicked in.  The TV did not flicker, neither satellite hicupped.  Looking and sounding good.
