Small stand mount speaker that sounds like Odyssey Nightingales?

I am wondering if anyone has heard any two-way bookshelf speakers that have a similar presentation as the no longer available Nightingales?  I am sorry to see the Nightingales go from the Odyssey lineup.  I know they were a little lean sounding and unforgiving of some recordings but with the right recordings the Nightingales had an eerie immediacy.  They could retrieve amazing inner detail, magically transporting the band into one's listening room.

Does anyone know of a small speaker reminiscent of the Nightingale sound?

Chuck,

The Nightingales tell you what is in the recording, without dressing it up. Absolutely fantastic speakers. I, too, was sorry to see them leave the Odyssey lineup.

As for your question, I would suggest that you try the Enigma Acoustique Oremus (if you can find one; they have a cult following) or the Revelation Audio Antares.  Better yet, contact Alain.

I haven't heard the new Odyssey Epiphony, but the original Epiphony (Revelation Audio Vega) is not what you are looking for; it has a different presentation (more "in your face" in the midrange and considerably less refined than the Nightingale in the highs).

The venerable Lorelei is very different from the Nightingale in just about every respect.

P.S.: I disagree with the statement that the Nightingales are "a little lean sounding".  They don't have the heft of the Loreleis, but lean sounding they are not.

Thanks Jose.  I will research those speakers.  About a year ago I tried to find an e-mail address for Alain but could not find anything.  Do you know if he has a website these days?  I'd love to know if he makes or has plans to make a smaller stand-mount version of the Nightingales with the same aural attributes.

Also, I was wondering if anyone who has heard the Nightingales has heard the SIA Rothschilde A2's?  I came across some reviews and wondered if they shared the same acoustic personality.  To me the Nightingales had a very intimate presentation and from reading reviews it sounds like the A2's share that characteristic.

Thanks again.
