I'm curious if any Devore Gibbon Super 8 owners considered the Tetra 505s or visa versa? Or have you spent time listening to both? How do they compare to you?

It appears that the are spec'd similarly. same foot print/ported two-way/8 ohm/efficient/full range with the Tetras reaching lower. But the Tetras are 50% more. So I'm keeping my eye on used.

My priorities are: Imaging, soundstage, and detail. I currently have Tetra 120Us (bookshelfs) and am leaning strongly toward a floorstander. Going to listen to the 505s soon.

I am soliciting comments since Tetra has to be one of the least written about brands. Someone has to have listened to them at some point-even though they have a limited dealership network.  Basically wonding if they didn't "cut it" I was wondering why? But I will listen soon myself, of course. Yes, I will provide my feedback after auditioning.

Jeff, what speakers are you moving to? you are on the Tetra web site speaking very highly of your 506's? I'm wondering what speaker has caught your eye?? The 506's a very nice..
