It would be possible to omit the S/pdif link and replace it by USB out from the PC when you use the pc. Then you need an USB to I2S converter. There are several on the net YEO, the Monica DAC designer has a nice one as well as Doede Douma. A local or maybe yourself technician can build the ( mostly little pcb USB /I2S converter inside the DAC and connect it to the I2S "node" of the internal DAC board
