Well, I got the Clarit-y dual mono and its sounding great...only issue I had was intermittent signal to speakers in one ch, but I think the cables may be the culprit...when you connect and disconnect as much as I do, cables take a beating...

its hooked thru a Promethius TVC and driving 12" coaxes from PAudio in TL cabs...

Now, do i max out the pre's volume or the amp's volume???

Hello old friend.  I would say play with the volume controls to see what works best - I doubt maxing out either is the best solution.

lol...I know...I am a man divided...tubes or Sig's.....but honestly, not having bulky power cables in the pre and amp is a definite plus..The amp sounds great John!

I agree with miklorsmith... you'll probably need to play with both controls and see what gives you the most useable range of volume and best sound.

I must say..the amp with the TVC and tube buffer is just tremendous!!!  I cant imagine how nice would be with a Sig30/70...

Glad you are enjoying your modded Clari-T. 

That modded Clari-T you have is very good, but the Signature 30 is definitely better.  Not only does the Signature 30 have 4 times the power output... it just sounds better all around!

Having owned that Clari-T and Sig. 70's, I agree.  However, it's still a really, really good amp.  Put a good, tubed pre in front and you could be happy for a long time.
