HT3 in Rosewood
« on: 8 Aug 2007, 02:37 am »

John wanted to finish off his home theater since he has our HT8 and HT2C all in Roseweood it was only fitting to finish off the rear speakers with a pair of HT3 in Rosewood complete with Sonicap capacitors even on the large cap in the midrange then all the cap values were topped off with a Sonicap Platinum bypass cap.
Wiring was QED silver wire the same as on the HT8 and HT2C we had built.

Working with Denny in Toronto the finish is outstanding.

Very sharp looking speaker Al. I can only imagine how good this speaker sounds with the upgrades you mention. Now John only need to put a few hundred hours on them to break them in. Damn Teflon  :duh:

Thanks Bill
Well by the time we ship them the crossovers and drivers will have around 120hrs on them as we burn them in during cabinet construction.
This helps with the final presentation to the customer with concerns of break in time for drivers and or Platinum caps.

Smart thinking Al. Now if we can just get the cap manufacturers to pre-burn caps at a slight upcharge

Lets get some photos of your HT once you get em all hooked up :thumb:. I bet they sound awesome :D. Do you have a separate subwoofer? I doubt it's necessary but just curious.

I'm currently using a HSU VTF3-MKII that is being fed through a Velodyne SMS-1.

Well looks like a few more HT3 in Rosewood coming soon.

The over all look of the custom made veneer for each pair of speakers makes the HT3 in Rosewood look very rich.
