Hi Ray; Since things are quiet for the moment here at work I have had a few moments to start researching a meter that may be of use to you. There are few possibilities here that may be of use to you, and I have listed the links below. The last link may well be the most cost effective, but could well have other drawbacks.
I found that looking at multimeters that may be of use to you is at best limited, and I decided to concentrate on scopemeters instead. The reason for this is they generally have a larger screen, and most importantly a connection to your computer which if implemented with some applicable software should give an easier on the eye presentation if you will.
You will note that the prices for the Fluke stuff are expensive as they are pretty much the industrial standard. They are durable, and well supported by Fluke and if you decide to purchase one you should keep in mind that this will be a unit that should be good to you for 15 or more years of use.
The TPI stuff is far less expenseive and may well be more for the hobbyist, but I cannot vouch for any of the software that might be needed to put this on a PC, nor it's overall accuracy.
The assorted links are listed below:
Good luck with your search and please keep us posted on your results
