I got these MIT T2 Custom speaker cable network boxes from a custom installer. They are about half the size of a cigarette box and they are meant to be used with regular entry level speaker cable like Monster XP (or something similar). They have screw downs for either bare wire or small spades and are can do either regular or true bi-wire.
These will in effect make your speaker cables the same as the MIT speaker cables that have the cable boxes on them. These little boxes just give you a lot more flexiblity, by being able to use the speaker cable that you want to use and are very easy to work with since they are so small.
I've never used them, so they are as new. I can get pictures for those that are interested.
