I'm going to import a couple of hundred Vishay (ROE) MKP1837 polypropylene film caps from overseas. These are the 1% tolerance 160vdc, 5mm lead spacing, film caps that are supposedly the cat's pajamas for bypassing larger caps in crossovers and signal coupling -http://www.humblehomemadehifi.com/Cap.htmlDunno personally, as I've not tried them yet.Initially I'd like to just get the 0.01uf (10nf) as those seem to be what folks are looking for. (I'd think the 15nf and 22nf versions should work as well)If there is enough interest, I can also source them in 15, 22, 47, 68 and 100nf. The last might be good for ps decoupling of opamps at the pins.Price will be for the initial .01uf (10nf) $2.50ea with a minimum of 4, and shipping will be $3 for a padded envelope and first class mail, to the US only. Large quantities will ship in a $8 priority mail box.PM me if you're interested in discounted larger quantities (25+) for this value or others.I've put this in Industry ads as I want to make an obscene profit and buy my wife that diamond tiara.I you're outside the States, its probably cheaper for you to source them from RS Components directly. They're also available on Ebay (international) in Italy. If you do a search, they've listed some as 'mkp1837' and misspelled some as 'mk1837'.If I can elicit enough interest (for at least 100), I can take delivery from overseas within a week, and will take mailed cash or PayPal (no fees and preferred).
Steve,Sorry, no; the Vishay/ROE MKP1839 appear to be made of unobtainium, at least as far as I can deternime.I've no idea as how these would compare, but Allied does carry the Illinois Capacitor MPW series polypropolene axial caps, in stock in exactly the voltage and values you're seeking (save for the .01uf, which they do have in 630vdc), at apparently reasonable prices. But I've no experience with them, I can't suss out their tolerances from the pdf, but they do have tinned copper leads http://www.alliedelec.com/Search/SearchResults.asp?N=0&Ntk=Secondary&Ntt=mpw400&sid=46AE7B807C08E17FFWIW,PaulPS - I really like the low cost Jantzen axial polypropolenes and their 400vdc CrossCaps and Standard Z-Caps come in some of those values, match very well, IMO 'sound' very good, and are very reasonably priced.http://www.partsexpress.com/mfg/jantzen/jantzen.cfm?CFID=1317523&CFTOKEN=62613455
HI, are these available somewhere yet? I'd need 0.1 uF and 0.01 to bypass some RIFA 450 I bought on ebay for cheap ( hint hint)
