Hey guys, just wondering what were the albums we listened to Friday evening?  Also Chris, what's the contact info for that tube pre-amp guy here in St Louis?

Just an FYI, the OB2X's are ready for another listen.  On the woofer circuit there's a parallel 2ohm resistor that brings down the level a couple db in the crossover region.  I asked Danny how to add a bit of midbass energy to the design, he suggested removing that resistor.  I modeled it out and it looked good with the change, and I just finished removing it.  I also shortened the port by about 1/2" and reworked how I had the stuffing.  Now it does have a more balanced presentation, the last change will be getting some sturdy spiked bases made ... then it would be fun to compare to the Sentinels, for about 1/4 the price

After the Illinois crew has the Sentinels, why don't you bring the OB's over to my place and we can compare them.  I have a controlled room and enough juice to make the Sentinels stand up and sing with no problems.

After the Illinois crew has the Sentinels, why don't you bring the OB's over to my place and we can compare them.  I have a controlled room and enough juice to make the Sentinels stand up and sing with no problems. 

Sounds like a plan.  I should have them ready in 2-3 weeks, all I'm waiting on is my bro-in-law to make me some 1/2" steel bases for them, he works at a machine shop.  I figure that'd be the way to go, since they could use some heft at the bottom of the cabinet.

Thanks, Winter Pills was the one I couldn't remember.  There was also one other album that you'd just bought that day, I think the band was a one-word name ... hmmm.  I remember that I'd heard track 3 on 93.3.
