I know they are completely different designs (and of course the mids are different), but would you please compare these to the 3D? Since both should do favorably in similar rooms and both appear to have the same woofers and tweeters (both enclosed I might add), they are natural competitors. Please explain how one speaker might work better for reproducing one type of music (or movies) vs the other sounding better reproducing different tracks and/or movies. Also, will kits be available? Thanks in advance.

Actually the Galena and 3D are quite different because of the 3D mid being run as a dipole. This makes room placement more critical for the 3D. The Galena has better midrange dynamics because of the larger driver and sealed loading of the driver. I may offer a kit if anyone is interested in building a pair.

The sealed MT would be -3db @55hz and would make an excellent center channel (assuming vertical placement). The Galena is 41.25" tall (with spikes), 14" wide at the bottom tapering to 8" at the top. Depth is 14".
