Symphonic Line amp tune-up and power cords?
« on: 20 Jul 2007, 07:23 pm »

Hi all,

I recently picked-up a second hand Symphonic Line RG7 amplifier that's approximately eight years old.

I've been very impressed with its performance, but was curious: can and should it be tuned up at some point given its age? If so, what does the process usually entail?

Moreover, I was curious regarding folks' thoughts on power cord selection for SL amplifiers. Any guidance, experiences, suggestions and so on would be greatly appreciated. I have -- but have not yet used -- the original SL power cord... primarily because it's 782 feet long, and I need only 3 or 4 foot cords for my simple 2 channel system.

Cheers, bw

Email Klaus at Odyssey Audio.

It's likely the bias could use adjusting as it tends to drift over time, this applies to pretty much all amps without auto bias of some type, not just the SL or Odyssey.

Call Klaus, always the best answer. :)
