I am looking for a new player. Does anyone out there have any experience with Raysonic gear?

I have the 128 and really like it.  It was very close to my Cary 303/300 CDP and I put money in my pocket after swapping them out.  Nevr tried tube rolling in it.  Sure is easy enough to do.  Build extremely well. :thumb:

Hi Hockey
I have had one for around 6 months now and love it. Plain and simple. Had a budget 640C Cambridge Audio player before and the 128 was a huge step up . I have enjoyed tube rolled and have settled on Siemens . Not 6922/E88CC as they are pricey but with PCC88 . Tried Telefunken which seem to have the same qualities and are often made by Siemens so you have to check. The 128 set me off listening to my whole collection again. All the stuff I had not tried for ages. Listening to it all with renewed appreciation. For the money I think its perfect. I see Underwood now have a mod on it now. Bugger

The Raysonic 128, [I've had it since early this year] is quite simply the best bang for the buck you can buy in a CDP.
Yes, tube rolling does produce even greater results. HDCD is a bonus!

"People really do read these sites."  Thanx for the reply. Since I posted my query, I too purchased a Raysonic player. What I ended up with after much "research" was a 168. I checked out some of the "moded" 128's It looked like what they did to the 128 in their mods, was incorporated in the 168. The only thing I gave up was the HDCD function.

I am happy with my purchase, seems to be a great machine. As it breaks in, it is becoming more musical.

I would like to hear from other 168 owners. Thanks.
