just caught the Boston show this past monday night.  Wow!
pay the money, get good seats up front and prepare to be totally blown away.

I've seen him many times, including last years leg of this same tour.  things are so tight ..., the visuals unreal.

for those of  you w/accounts at tradersden.org or shnflac.net, my recording of the event is available via bit torrent.
I was up front, and it came out quite nice, I think.  Though, I have not listened to it over the reference system as I am in between amps at the moment.

My brother just saw him in NYC and he was totally amazed!!

He is younger (turns 20 tomorrow) and didn't know Waters material that well, but he still said it was one of the best concerts he has ever been to.

Wish I could have caught him myself.

Maybe next time...

I missed out on this tour this time - the only consolation is his concert DVD "in The Flesh Live" which I rate as my favorite all time performance DVD, great musicians and great show.
If I highlight my favorite Floyd tracks they are all Waters compositions - guess his creative angst drives generates great songs.

If anyone hasn't got the live DVD it's so cheap to buy, really shows off a HT system, in addition to being a great performance.
Hopefully he'll release something from this tour?

I saw Roger Waters in Omaha a couple weeks ago (with my wife), and out of more than 400 live shows I have seen in the last 26 years, this was in the top 3 (if not the best I have ever seen).  Roger still has a strong voice and the musical and visual presentation were spectacular.  If Roger tours North America again and you get a chance to see him, do whatever it takes to see the show because you will not be disappointed.

I'm sure this is a dumb question, but: Is it not illegal to record live shows w/o permission, & again, another seperate illegal act to upload them & offer them to the public?  Sorry, I'm sure I'm missing something & it can't possibly be so simple as this, but please do fill me in...Doesn't Roger make his living selling his music?  Not saying I don't have a small number of CD's copied by a friend, but he doesn't upload to the 'net, make copyrighted music available to the public, & publish the fact in forums.

Again, sorry, I'm sure I'm missing something obvious.

PS: I sure hope Roger performs in SLC sometime...

Jim,

I drove from Denver to Omaha, and after seeing the show, it would have been worth walking to Omaha.  SLC is not that much farther of a drive, but you can always fly to Omaha.

The audience was incredible and Roger was deeply moved by the level of applause and the positive collective energy.

nope, not a dumb question.  Is live music copyrighted?  no.  not really.  not in the sense that copying a CD is.  that's a whole other ball of wax, imo.
I"m not a bootlegger.  I never sell anything I record.  I do it for my own self indulgence (reference recording gear, reference playback = concerts at home).
90% of the bands I do record are open to audience recording so its not a problem.
Roger Waters gets taped...a lot.  there are countless recordings going back to the K.A.O.S. tour and beyond.
I'm archiving...., is how I see it.  your grandkids will thank me.

I thank you.
After listening to "Dark Side of the Moon" my grandkids would ask "Which one's Pink?"
