BP26MC better than non phono model ?
« on: 12 Jul 2007, 05:41 pm »
Few months ago I have acquired BP26MC which replaced the standard BP26.

I find the MC version is much better for some unknown reason, more open, less congested, quiter and with a much deeper soundstage. I am using the same CD input and I don't even have a turntable yet.

Has anyone else compared the two models? Would James Tanner have any idea why this is the case?

Hi,

No idea - the BP26 MC just adds the MC section as a module.

I thought so. Then it has to be in the different wiring layout or maybe the extra phono card just provides some extra shielding for other components.

I was very surprised and pleased  :D with this discovery.
