new floor stander project
« on: 12 Jul 2007, 10:10 am »
I've been reading these posts for sometime now and have built two projects:  GR A/V1 and the Murphy Blaster bookshelf.  I'm a woodworker and have built my own cabs.  I have the A/V1 in my open floor plan living room and love the sound.  I thought I could get  a more space filling sound out of a floor stander (and of course I need another project).  I'm not an audiofile and don't sit in a "sweet spot" to listen to music.  So I'm looking for a room filling sound that can be listened to "off axis" while I'm cooking or whatever.  My tastes are rock and folk.  I don't want the speaker to be over 40" high.  Suggestions.

Thanks, Charles

My personal favorite and best recommendation for room filling sound in a small floor standind speaker is the O-3.
