I have just bought a Scott Nixon TubeDac+ with standard psu.

Can anyone tell me what sort of sonic changes I could expect if I got the upgraded Scott Nixon 3xac psu?

I can't tell you the difference, but IMO it'd be worth it.  When I bought mine I asked Scott what he recommended, a few upgraded caps or the PS.  He said the PS so that's what I did.

Does that mean you have heard the TubeDac+ with and without the upgraded psu, and you can't hear a difference?

Or that you got the upgraded psu based on Scott's recommendation, and never heard the TubeDac+ with standard psu?

Oops, that was confusing.  I have not listened to the the regular PS.   I think Scott sent one with the DAC but I never listened to it.  I have the TubeDAC not the +.  From reading this forum all units that use an upgraded PS seem to perform better.  For the price I think it is worth it.  Plus you will not have to worry about this question again if you get it.
