Is it me or does AC have way more frequent user input than AA?

Not wanting to get into a discussion about the intricacies of other forums, but often i check in over at audioasylum & its slow as molasses.   There's a wealth of info in their acrchives, but day-to-day the # of posts seem to be much higher here.

Kudos to the AC community who keeps it going, every day my eyes get opened farther & farther.   Finally some of the wetness behind my ears is drying up...

I use them for archival information only.....it's very Wild West over there.

I know some think we over-moderate here, or that Moderators should be held to higher standards, but most don't and appreciate the general even-handedness at AudioCircle.

Frankly, it's mostly JohnR's vision for this site has come to fruition...and we're all enjoying it because of that vision. Guffaw's along the way by him and me and others that volunteer our time to intervene at AC - aside

You're still punk-ass, GooberMatt

And I always will be more than likely!!     8)

The breadth of knowledge that's displayed and shared here is pretty astounding, snaffoo's aside.

Happy 4th of July to all the U.S. AC'ers.

There have been noticeable changes at the Asylum IMO. There is still lots of technical expertise at the specialty forums like DIY Tube. The main difference from the early days is the absence of many of the engineer types that frequented tweaks and cables. A number have migrated to DIYAudio.

  • Who you callin' an audiophile?????
The greatest volume of AA posts seems to be in PHP but it's usually name calling and hissy fits. There are a few notoriously verbose and combative posters there. There is still a wealth of information but the signal to noise ratio is brutal.

AC is the standard to which AA should aspire to. Great job done by JohnR and the mods! It is appreciated!

I know some think we over-moderate here,

That would be incorrect.  PHP is under-moderated.

Signal?  Where?  I have found little there which is of a technical nature.  It's a shame.
