Leaving the Gateway
« on: 3 Jul 2007, 04:27 pm »
It's with sadness that I announce my departure from the Gateway area.  My location often prevented me from making it to many of the events.  I enjoyed our get-togethers and couldn't imagine a better group of guys.   I'm moving to the Nashville, TN area.  I will obviously continue on audiocircle and keep in touch.  My new digs will allow a larger listening room, now big enough for the Edgarhorns I've always lusted after (I just have to save up).  There is an open invitation should anyone ever be in the area.

Cheers,
Brad

Sorry to hear that Brad.  I wish you well in your new digs.  At least you're going to a city where Music is high priority - I'm sure there will be a few audio nuts down there....

As for coming down, sounds like an excellent GAS road trip.  Maybe we can all come down and invade sometime.

Sorry to hear that we'll see less of you Brad, but hope that your move is one forward in your life.
And yeah, just let us know when you get settled in, and we'll all pack up the sleeping bags and come see what kind of liquor yer stockin'!  aa
 :D
Take care, and I'm glad it is YOU moving rather than me! Buy the Edgarhorns AFter you get there.

Best Regards,
Bill

Brad,

Sorry to hear that but I assume you are moving onto a bigger and better hospital? That or maybe private practice? If so, thats all good.

Thats good news about the bigger listening space and you couldn't have set your sights on a (much) better speaker. Even without the Seismic Sub, the regular Edgar Horns are spectacular. They'll be a great mate to your DRD's (or did you swap for the Wrights, I don't remember?).

Be sure and let us know when you get settled in. Take some picks of your new digs and post them. Who knows, maybe you'll find some local guys and you can get a Nashville Circle started. If I find myself in your neck of the woods, I'll definitely take you up on that offer.

Stay in touch.  :thumb:

We are sorry to lose you. Our loss is Nashvilles gain. I hope the move goes well. How long will it be before we see postings from NAS, the newly formed Nashville Audio Society .
Take care

Scott F.

Well guys,

Looks like we just lost another member.  :bawl:

Mike D just accepted a new position teaching and being the band director up in the Champagne area. I'm not sure he'll have the ability to post until after he gets settled in up there so I thought I'd go ahead and let everybody know (hope you don't mind Mike).

One thing is for sure, my collection of scotches are now safe

That's too bad. I missed the news about Brad. Brad, we hardly knew ye! I like the road trip idea though.

I will particularly miss Mike D's sense of humor. He was my maggie buddy! :bawl:

Looks like I'll have to buddy up with the Martin Logan guys now.

Good luck to both you guys!

Damn! Losing Mike D as well, eh?  Damned annoyin' Illinoisans just move about like there is something unsettling over here....
Who is gonna keep me awake on the long drive to Misery now, eh Mike?

All kidding aside, good luck Mike.  Sounds like 2007 has had a fist full of positive changes for you, and we're wishing you the best.
Don't forget to get a place with a few guest rooms for a road trip your way.
And don't forget where WE live when down THIS way!
It won't be the same without you.

Best Regards and Wishes,
yer pal, DeadFish
