Album Art Agg Q

So I am getting the Nokia770 up and running, but I hit a snag.  My dir structure is \artist\ only and no seperate sub dir for each album, so how the heck can you get the cover to be associated with a specific album in the directory?  I really don't want to manually change my entire dir structure to make this work.

Josh,

I have spent the last three plus hours downloading all the album art using this tool as well.  While it is quirky, I have its quirks figured out and it helps a lot.

Unfortunately, you are SOL (at least with this tool).

I am somewhat in the same boat as some of my music is cataloged in the manner you mentioned.  For a variety of reasons, I changed to artist/album, but I never went back and cleaned things up.  I guess I will have to do that now.

I'm afraid your right.

Man, I have wasted most all of today with slimserver, nokia, apps and adding mp3s to my nokia cell.

For a somewhat less painful way of moving your files into artist/album folders use the masstagger file rename/move feature in foobar. As long as the files have the album title in the tags you can have it move/rename them to folders named by album. I've done this a lot and trust me, this takes almost all of the pain out of moving them around.

This is what my directory tree's look like. I prefer just the track number and title for the file name but the move/rename function will let you do pretty much anything you want in this regard.
