hi guys,
i need your help regarding my problem with my rotel rcd-1070.
i bought it pre-owned for around $300

my problem is the grunting sound(in the transport mech area) it produces when i turn on the power.there are times that the player doesnt exhibit this problem but most of the time it does and really annoying.i already have the cdp checked and the technician cant seem to find the cause of the problem does anybody here encountered the same problem that i'm having with my cdp?what could be the cause of the said sound ervrytime i turn on the power?will this be an easy fix?

Sounds like it needs a lube job on the transport rails. Go to Radio Shack and buy some grease for this purpose. Ask salesperson for the right stuff. If this does not work call Rotel they are customer friendly.
