Can someone take a second to breakdown the upgrade options that I can take with my stereo (cap upgraded) stratos?  I'm a bit confused with the different options ie: Xtreme mono, Xtreme stereo, etc.  Thanks!

Hi,

- Stereo Xtreme: stereo with an additional transformer and maybe more caps (maybe cap of better quality) (I'm not sureabout this one, check with Klaus)
- dual mono: 2 mono blocks in one box
- mono blocks
- mono Xtreme: mono blocks with more cap (and better quality) and an additional transformer in each block

For those who are on a budget, the stereo Xtreme looks interresting in my opinion.

Okay, okay, okay one more question... What would the pricing be to go mono blocks turned extreme (I already have a stereo w/ cap upgrade)?  Klaus, you lurking around here???

Hi Mikey,
and thanks guys.

Yep,  Christophe and Rich are correct.

I've tried to space the different models sensitively enough for both,  performance and pricing.  It's interesting,  because the different steps up really are in line with the improvements,  and are also very similar in $$$.

Thus,  here are all the options:

1.  Khartago  $ 750.
2.  Stratos  $ 1070
3.  Stratos / 120,000 uF  $ 11295.
4.  Stratos  Stereo Extreme (2nd transformer,  180,000 uF,  etc.)  $ 1500
5.  Dual Mono  $ 1795
6.  Monos  $ 2150 / pr.
7.  Mono Extremes  $ 2600.

(and, of ocurse,  the HT 3 and the full Gary Extreme, which is in the 4 K range)

Mikey,  yes,  the upgrade to the mono extremes from the stereo unit is a.  $ 1070.  for the mono upgrade,  and an additional $ 500.  for the extreme mod.  (keep in mind that the extreme mod is $ 450.  for  a new pair,  and $ 550.  for a used pair.  So the mono conversion upgrade from a stereo unit is split in the middle at $ 500.)

Now,  these are all the current prices.  We might have to raise them all $ 20 - 50.  in the near future,  since the cost went up quite a bit for the metal work.

Late,

Klaus

Did I see an HT-5 appear on the site?  Any details?  Pricing?
