Heard an interview with him about his new album The Golden Striker

Anyone heard it?

Ron Carter plays the acoustic bass, a real joy to hear on my system. I have The Bass and I

See if you can get hold of his early 70s stuff on CTI, especially the Airto albums. Also, his "Great Jazz Trio" recodings with Billy Cobham and latterly Kenny Barron are worth checking out.
He is a great bassist, and his work on electric bass is pretty good, too. I guess fashion means he doesn't get to play the electric much these days, which is a shame.

has always been what i admired about his playing.  and theres always so much feeling.

its always a plus to see his name on the personnel list of a prospective record purchase.
