Is it any good?? -Paradisea non-OS DAC MHDT Labs

To all-

This is a kind of a follow up post to another posing the question about everyone's two channel system. I am updating mine and was overwhelmed with great advice. I am looking to update a source and external DAC.

I am leaning toward the Paradisea DAC. It is NOS and in my price range. Has anyone here had any "good experience" with this unit?

I like a smooth tonal quality to sound, with clear, open, and detailed
presentation. I also like a wide soundstage, a clear distinction of each instrument, and not a muddy bottom end. I also listen to female vocalists, and really appreciate DAC'S that can do justice to midrange. I have a MARANTZ DV-6400 universal player doing CD as a source now. But I might move up  to a Trends UD-10 or a SB later. I will be using the DAC with these sources. Will a Paradisea be a significant upgrade?

How should it work?

Just type in Paradisea in the search function and you will find plenty.

If you are to lazy to use the search function there is a 50+ page thread on this in the Audio Central which is constantly on the first page.

Yes the Paradisea would be just perfect for you. You might check ebay, it looks like there are a couple for sale there right now. They usually sell pretty fast. :)
