Homegrown Audio Silver Lace I/C's?
« on: 22 Jun 2007, 02:02 am »
I've done a lot of searching for silver interconnects and it looks like Homegrown Audio Silver Lace are very nice cables. I've found mixed feedback on sound qualities of these I/C's however. Has anyone used them and if possible, can you compare them to other silver cables?

I have Alpha-Core Micro Purl silver I/C's now and they sound quite nice but the build quality is lacking. Cheap RCA plugs and very poor crimping. I've had to send one pair back to be replaced already because a plug came off. Very disappointing.

Thanks for the feedback!

Jim-As it so happens, I have a pair of Stage 3 Concepts Baron silver ICs that I was just about to put on Agone. Quality connectors and a great IC. I have the earlier version without the Cardas plugs (like the ones on the link) but otherwise, the cables look the same. They retailed for $230.00 for a 1 meter pair way back when, I was going to ask $60.00 for mine as they are getting no use in my desk drawer and I'd rather apply that $$$ to a new set of power tubes for my amp. That's a  little cheaper than the Silver Laces it looks like...PM me if they at all interest you.
