Gfroman, WOW! Those are amazing images. Based on your images I have now added Angkor Wat to my top three destinations. Funny because just a few days ago I was wearing a Angkor Wat t-shirt that a friend gave me. And not be be geeky but which camera did you capture these with? I am a small camera traveler so just curious.

...haha Gfroman, well I was hoping for some midsize kit. But yeah, that D800 and lenses fit the bill for sure. I just got a D750 last year. I don't travel with it though. looking forward to more Gfroman images. cheers.

I didn't go through the entire back catalog, so please forgive me for not mentioning all of the spectacular pictures specifically in the last few pages.

But, gfroman - spectacular shots. I like how you compose and process your pictures. JonL that is a very vibrant picture of a peacock. Great shot.

Here's one that I took recently: Munich was home for two weeks, from May 25 to the morning of June 8th. I was there for work, so I generally didn't have much time to take pictures. The one you see here was taken the night of the 7th on the grounds of the Schloss Nymphenburg. It was a hot, humid and still night and while I was taking pictures (not this one specifically), insects were buzzing about and the lighting in general wasn't that great for sunset (~ 9 pm) either. When I got stung by something on my hand I was starting to question my presence there. I had to wake up relatively early the next day to catch my flight back home. But, something kept me out there, and I'm thankful, since this is one of my best pictures from my trip.

This picture is a composite of three pictures. Two of them were taken in Live Composite mode to show multiple lightning strikes and one that was (deliberately) underexposed to retrieve details in the buildings around the light sources.

This is the Biosphere in Jean Drapeau park formerly Ste Helene Island.
It's a thematic building talking about the different aspects of nature.
15 $ entry fee, too much for my budget.

Isn't this the old U.S. pavilion where the old Expo '67 used to be?

(edit - yes, it is.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Expo_67#Park_and_surviving_relics )

Hi charmerci,
yes, you are right, it was the US pavilion at Expo 67,
however, a few years later all the Plexiglas on the skeleton burnt down,
at that time it was used for something else (Sorry forgot what for)
and now it's use to teach about nature.
I think the metal structure is there to stay for a very long time.
Thanks for your comment,
I am glad that my picture has raised interest for one person...
