Quite the little cutie, Guy.  Always fun taking pictures of kids being kids.

Spain Trip

Those are beautiful shots!

* By the way, you also posted them at WBF, but they are much bigger, and I could not access that last page because of that (or too much resolution).
So it's like the thread that I started two years ago is like locked now!
If you can think about it and re-sized them smaller it would be much appreciated, and it would reopen the thread.

Thanks! :)

Hi JakeJ and all Audio Circle members.
What I like when taking pictures of children is their innocence in addition to their always nice and smooth skin, no wrinkles...
I will post more later on, because I don`t want to invade this site with my pictures.

All the kid's pictures you take are splendid; they reflect their innocence, and I like your style with that light deposit of a cloud on each photograph.
Post as many photographs as you wish; there are no limits for beauty in life. :)

Cheers, and best regards,
Bob

Hi gfroman and all Audio Circle members.
Your black&white picture is really nice.
If you have more black&white pictures,
please post them.
By the way, what camera, lens and film did you use?

Hi Bob (North Star) and all Audio Circle members.
Thanks for your comments.
I do have much more pictures of children,
but I post them slowly not to jam the Audio Circle server...
I will soon look into my shoe box and choose some children pictures
to be posted in the coming weeks.
I also have some women's pictures that I am sure some
Audio Circle members will like.
Stay tuned, more to come.

Guy 13

By the way the expression you use:
" light deposit of a cloud "
is simply a Nikon soft filter in front of my lens.
Sorry for saying, if you knew that already,
but maybe some Audio Circle members did not know that.

Just started using my new Nikon D800.
Lens for both shots was a Nikon 16mm Fisheye.
Thanks!

Hi gfroman and all Audio Circle members.
You took the black&white picture using your Nikon D800 with your camera black&white mode?
I've also tried to shoot black&white with my D200,
but the results were deceiving...
For black&white I prefer to shoot with my Mamiya 645E
with Kodak T-max 100,
however, no more T-max and here in Vietnam,
they don't know how to process and print black&white.
I will wait to be back in Canada to start again taking some
black&white pictures and experiment with some filters.
I wanted for decades to shoot with InfraRed film and filter,
however, I am not sure if the IR films are still available?

Hey!

I've never used one but I think Ilford still make one and Rollei/Agfa seem to have one also... for both 35mm and 120 format.

Take care,

Hi SET Man and all Audio Circle members.
Twenty some years ago, I've used Agfa black&white film (25 ISO)
however, I prefer the T-max 100 and 400.
I read on the Internet that Kodak might reborn from his ashes...
However, I don't think they will offer films, but who knows ? ? ?
I think Ilford would be a good choice, even if I never used their products.
Why did they had to discontinued all those good films? ? ?
I hate when they change everything.
It's like the Kodak VHC film. (Very saturated) that I have used with some flowers pictures, nice film, I shot a few rolls and then, the bad news,: Discontinued...

Freestyle Photo Supplies in L.A. has one of the deepest selection of film stocks around. They carry European brands you aren't going to find at your local camera shop. They are easy to deal with and have always given me professional service with quick shipping. If they don't have something you're looking for at the moment, it may well be restocked in the future. Rollei and Ilford Extended Range are the infrared films they have in stock at the moment. I've used the Ilford Extended Range in the past, it's a very interesting film.

I was a film shooter for 35 years and finally switched to Digital.
The B&W pic was a color digital pic shot with the D800 and converted to B&W with Photoshop.
Gave it kind of an "infra-red" look to it with some adjustments.
Thanks!

Hey!

It is unlikely Kodak will ever come back as big as it was before. The ironic thing is that Kodak were the first to experiment with CCD and made electronic image capture back in the '70s.

I post about the downfall of Kodak on the other thread here...

http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=102670.0

Well, lucky for you Kodak still make T-Max 100 and 400. And of course the Tri-X 400 is still around also. I like both Tri-X and T-Max 400.

As for Ilford. They filed bankruptcy years ago. But I think someone bought it and came back quite well with full line of their films, papers and chemicals. I used to use their paper when I was still printing B&W. Their films are good but I find them a bit lower contrast, bit too smooth and softer. This is just me.... everybody have their own way of developing so your result will depend on developing and printing. But if I there is no Kodak B&W films left than I wouldn't mind use Ilford stuffs at all. Their HP5 ISO 400 film is excellent by the way. I just have to adjust the way I do things a bit.

For color negatives I would stick with Fuji. I used pretty much exclusively Fuji color negatives back than and have it print on Fuji's Crystal Archive paper.

So, not to worry if you are going to burn some roll of films. There are still pretty good selections out there.

Yes, Freestyle is excellent. I've bought stuffs from them before. They do have stuffs that no other stores have. But luckily I'm in NYC and my local B&H store have pretty all the things I needed and usually at a lower price even after NY's tax.

Freestyle is definitely a place to check out if you are looking for any old fashion analog photography supply.

Take care,

A very dark and blustery evening on the Gulf Coast. Slow shutter speed, 1/5 sec, on a tripod.
