Wild Medicine: Healing Plant Around the World exhibition. The staff were showing cacao of which chocolate are made from. The fun part was the free sample of pure cacao.

A tunnel leading to another section of the greenhouse. No plant in there but it looks pretty cool.

Well, there are a few more. I put them in the same location with other places from around NYC. But if you click on picture below it will take you to the start of the NY Botanical Garden picture than you can click on the right to see the rest....

Very cool, Buddy!  I have some nice photos from the Seattle Conservatory taken when I first bought my Canon 7D that I'll have to dig up and get posted here as well.  Macro work is one of my favorite studies within photography as an art.

Hi all Audio Circle members.
My very first photo attempt when I was 18 year old in 1966.
I’ve borrowed my mother Kodak camera and my mother was kind enough and patient enough to be my model.
She had to stand still for one second because the Kodak film at that time was probably around 25 ISO/ASA.
Of course I was inexperienced and the window light was over exposing the picture.
But I was young, inexperienced and learning.
At the time, it was lots of fun.
That’s how I started to take photos and today I made more or less a career selling professional photography equipment here in Vietnam.
I always love taking black and white pictures; it has something color don’t give you.
In addition, when you shoot black and white you have more choice of filters (Red, IR, yellow, etc…) to make nice special effects.
I still have my two Mamiya 645E bodies with lenses and when I get back to Canada I will shoot a few rolls of black and white from time to time with some filters that I still keep in my camera bag.
By the way, my favorite type of picture taking is sky with clouds. I take them with a red filter to make a more dramatic effect.

The one down side to all this exercise...less time in front of the stereo.

At least I have some good IEM's for training.   :green:

Hey!

Thanks JakeJ,  :D Two things I forgot to bring with me that day was my 100mm macro lens and a polarizer filter  :?  The zoom lens I used was OK getting close... well, not at pollen level...  but I did miss the polarizer more. But even with the marco lens it will be hard for me to use it there since I think they don't allow the use of tripod there... that's suck isn't it?

Seattle Conservatory? Yes, it will be interesting to see what they have over there on the other side of US :D I've heard it rain a lot there.

Well, it is a lot easier to take pictures these days. Anyway, it is good to have old family photos. I have some old family photos that I need to find time to preserve them soon. :D

I don't think tripods are forbidden in the Seattle Conservatory but maybe on weekends when it is busy.  Weekdays are very quiet and a good time to shoot, especially early morning.

Hi Charmerci and all Audio Circle members.
Nice picture, however, your picture does not tell the whole story.
We wonder if he jumped or stay there watching people passing by all day.

Guy 13

Is it your cat?
Did he stayed there just to get photographed?
After you took his picture, did he went back to his nap?

Hi all Audio Circle members.
A long, long time ago, I took some fireworks pictures.
All the pictures were taken at the Benson&Hedges International fireworks.
It took me several trial to get it right.
Aim in the right direction and have just the long enough exposure.
At that time I was using film (2-1/4 X 2-1/4") with my Rollei SLX camera.
The photos were scanned and compressed,
that's why the quality is not too good.
Those pictures were taken on the south shore on Montreal.

Hi all Audio Circle members.
Those long exposures pictures where taken at the La Ronde amusement park
on the Ste Helene island near Montreal, Canada.
It was so long time ago that I don't remember which camera I've used,
maybe my Rollei SLX (2-1/4 X 2-1/4") or my Mamiyal RB67 (2-1/4 X 2-3/4").
