I've got a JVC RX-DP10V receiver thats 100 watts into 7 channels. Top end in its day. THX EX surround, audio upconversion, multi-remote, etc.  Have box and manual. $200 plus shipping.

Pro audio might be the way to go for a party system.  I have an old Ashly FET-200 that is 100 WPC into 8 ohms and about 160 WPC into 4 ohms.  Cooling fan noise is the drawback, but may not be an issue for party use.  A new, quieter fan could be easily installed if necessary.  Tank-like reliability, and low cost are the benefits.  I was also surprised by the good sound quality.  I would let mine go for somewhere around $100 plus shipping.

I have two integrated amps that may do the job.  A HK 3480 which is 120 watts and has preouts, subout and a tuner.  The other is a mid eighties Onkyo A7070.  The HK is a 9 out of 10, sell for $175.  The Onkyo for $50.  The Onkyo actually seems to have more power, especially in the bass.

Do a search for an AMC 2100.  Should be able to find new for your price or better.

Another "midfi" suggestion is the Behringer A500 Reference Power Amp 2 x 230W from Parts Express, if you want an Integrated.
