Looks like Tweeter has filed Chapter 11.  Another one bites the dust.

Chapter 11 is re-organization...not liquidation (that's Chapter 7).  Hopefully they pare down in size and adventurousness and make a good go of it in the future. So, they're not dead just yet Curly.

Sad but funny. They just opened another store in my area, not 5 miles away from one that has been there for many years (it was something else local before getting turned into a Tweeter). Bad sign for a company that must have known it was going to file for Ch. 11. Hope they make out okay.

+1 damn wish Tweeters were here to closeout those new Salamander racks.. now one will discount them.. uggh.. free shipping (no tax) is about all I've found..)  If you haven't seen the new Salamander series, it looks like furniture (ships fully assembled) and can hold 350lbs on the top shelf... really cool! not the funky Synergy series that half looked like a piece of furniture.. they just wrapped wood around the synergy and charged more..
