I just moved and now my audio gear is being placed in the loft area. With no door and a cat that will jump on anything I want to keep my VPI HW-19 mk3 table safe. Any link to affordable (under $400) racks would be appreciated.
I'm hoping to find something with doors, or maybe something like the higher end salamander racks. The salamander racks with a longer top maybe an option, I'm hoping the cat with then not jump directly onto the turntable, or if she does it'll be less likely to fall off.

I have a Salamander Synergy Twin30, which I chose to protect my system from our cats. Part of Stan's mods to the Aiwa include a neat optical cable design that uses an LED on the DAC end of a very thin cable. Well, with my old open rack, our cats went crazy for the little red light. Have you ever used a laser pointer as a cat toy? That's what this was like, only with this thing they could catch it...
I'm sure that someone will point out that you need more airflow. This is why I chose the perforated stell side panels. Also, the back piece doesn't cover the whole back -- there are 1" gaps at the top and bottom for cables and air flow. It's really a great system.
