:oThis has to be a prank.  I don't even know what else to say.  I'll let it speak for itself.

"  The Room Animator works purely according to the laws of Physics (the ordered movement of electrons in matter) and depends on the use of natural matter. It contains only naturally-occurring materials.

Whenever we listen to the music from a HiFi system, we need air in our room to transmit the sound. The more evenly arranged is the “sound conductivity” of the air, the better the acoustic behaviour of the room. "

Geeez, how close can someone want to get to the music to wanna buy that?

Eduardo AAVM

I do not know but would be nice to try, (not buying).

Maybe it ionizes the air, I have heard changes in sound when room temperature is cold and when is warmer.

Later you will discover that those guys have an Audio Animator is a cilinder that supossedly arrenges harmful magnetic charges in gear, cables, etc.

Phonosophie sell the products in Germany but manufacturer is austrian and is called Artkustik or something like that.

This has to be a prank.

Sadly, they seem quite serious. The key question is how much does it cost? If it costs less than $100 you can be sure it doesn't work. If it's more than $100 but less than $1,000 it will definitely make an improvement in the sound, but only a subtle improvement. However, if it costs more than $1,000 you can be sure the improvement is substantial. I can just see the magazine reviews now:

"As a natural skeptic I don't usually pay attention to products like this because most work on the placebo effect. So imagine my surprise when I tried it and found the music was improved enormously. Even my pet gerbil commented. Bass was much tighter, the highs more airy, and pace and rhythm were improved beyond my wildest dreams. I used to be a skeptic, and you should too, but in this case the product works as advertised and then some. I can't say I understand how it works, but it does work. Highly recommended."

Maybe the New York Rangers should put several of these down at ice-level,  at Madison Square Garden.

May help some of my beloved Rangers players skate a bit quicker and shoot the puck on net, more accurately;  with the re-arranging,  aligning and evening out of the air molecules......and all :green: :green:

At least give them the benefit of doubt. What proof do we have it does not work. I just get a little tired of people who put down a product without trying it.
Yes it sounds a a bit far fetched but who knows, it may work ,it may not. I would only be skeptical if they did not offer a money back guarantee.

If you want a pretty thing with glowing blue light on it that has nothing to do with audio I suggest this product instead.  You'll just have to rig up a power supply for the USB cable is all.  Would look very nice next to anything with aluminum and blue LEDs.

The Room Animator needs to go back to the drawing board, or at least they should funny up that text.  The claims aren't nearly ridiculous enough.   :|  But I am glad that its made from NATURALLY OCCURING materials, as opposed to, uh, unnaturally occuring materials?  Supernaturally occuring materials?  I suppose that bit is fairly humorous.  A few brownie points for that.

"It is our hope that products will be judged on their merits and not on erroneous assumptions and misinformation. We would also like to disassociate ourselves from any other company or companies attempting to sell similar-looking products."

First electrons, now air molecules - 21st Century technology is just too cool!  8)

Where do blue LEDs occur in nature?  I must visit this exotic location.  :D

I dont think ionizing or de-ionizing the air would change anything....sound travels by pushing air...when the woofer hits the air, its all tempertature and air density that matters.  once the speakers gets working the whole air mass in the room is a mess.

I just find it too anal just to sit down and listen to music....I rather appreciate a good amp, TT, or whathavya, instead of esoteric stuff like that.

After you turn it off do all the rearranged molecules go back to where they were before you turned it on?

pardales

So maybe its like the "clever little clock"..... on steroids?

What if the thing malfunctions and rearranges all of the air molecules into a corner leaving the rest of the room in a vacuum?

Then you might need one of these...... :jester:

That's why it's better to buy two of them, it balances out the room.

  • The elephant normally IS the room
Out of boredom I browsed Agon accessiories and this thing would fit right with half the quacky stuff there.

And people say they don't understand audiophiles.     :o :duh:

nathanm

I bet if you put two of them on the bottom of your shoes you could float.

senad

After you turn it off do all the rearranged molecules go back to where they were before you turned it on?

No but for a small additional payment they'll sell you another device that will rearranged them back to normal.

Also, make sure not to rub your cat while the device is activated! :D

TONEPUB

I love the Griffin giant volume control!

How is a volume control not audio related???

On a more serious note, you must be an absolute idiot to put a source of static electricity in your room near to your audio. The interference this thing produces would negate any beneficial effect.  :duh:
