« on: 1 Jun 2007, 09:20 pm »
Hi

http://www.bryston.ca/

seems to direct one to a "Plesk" default page as if the site under construction (and has been for some time now.

Anyone else encounter this?

Most of us don't even have tubes in our TV anymore. :>)

FWIW, the cited URL was working fine just now when I clicked on it -- I'm glad the Bryston site has NOT 'gone down the tubes'. :>) However, Plesk is a server management tool used by leading internet service providers worldwide for web hosting. So it is possible that somewhere in the connection chain between BMU and Bryston.ca, Plesk is in use and traffic got misdirected momentarily.

Yes, I've discovered that Plesk is a server management tool that ISP's may be using.

Now I know this forum isn't a network troubleshooting site but FYIW by I used:

http://www.dnsreport.com/ to analyze that the www.bryston.ca site.

There were server name server errors that may account for my problems.  I was able to get the actual IP address of the bryston server and finally get to the website and check the newest updates.

It is unclear to me from the dnsreport whether my problems reside with my ISP or someone else's.
