I was just reading a lot of great reviews on these speakers. Just wondering what your thoughts are?

Hello Mike,
 I don't know where in NY you are speaking of but if in the Upstate area, I have EXtreme floorstanding units and stock Jrs. available for audition as well.

Definitely a very good speaker at the price point.

The other's I'd consider for about this much money, that you may
find interesting are the DeVore Fidelity Gibbon Super 8
and the Martin Logan Vantage....

Or perhaps even a pair of Vandersteen 3A signatures,
Magnepan 3.6.....

There's a lot of good stuff out there if you have 4k to spend!
