This is a factory customized se84c with the "ex" modification which makes it a perfect match for single-source 8ohm speakers.
The amplifier, serial# 584, was built in July 2004. I am the original, and only, owner of this amplifier and can assure you that it was handled with great care and is in excellent condition. There are no blemishes that I can see.
The amplifier was recently sent to Decware for an inspection and had its output transformer replaced, so it is essentially like new. N.B. Although the label on the bottom of the amp states that it is set for World Voltage(240volts), at the time of the transformer replacement it was reset by Decware to run at standard US voltage.
The two customizations to the amplifier are as follows:1) Black case - the standard case for the non-select Decware models is gray.
2) Volume control on face plate - this mod allows you to set the volume without having to reach around to the back of the amplifier to do so...very convenient.
