Anyone familiar with the movie "Phar Lap"??

I was talking to someone who had seen "Seabiscuit" and it reminded me of the movie "Phar Lap"(1983)--also a reality based movie about horse-racing.  I wondered whether the earlier movie had come out on DVD yet, so did some web-surfing and found no DVD, the VHS out of print and eBay copies selling for~$45.00. Yikes!

"Phar Lap" in Thai means Lightning. Didn't see the movie yet but will soon.

I'm not sure why they would have chosen a Thai name since it was a New Zealand/Aussie horse.  The site below, though, DOES list the Thai translation:

So close, I bet the owner had some fun in Thailand  8)  Perhaps sharing his winnings with (ahem)  friends here  :D

Someone must have spent enough time here to pick up some language.
