I  bought this pre on Tvad's recommendation and I will say it is a ridiculously musical performer.  At the price?  This is a KILLER deal.

It's available now for the right price. What price did you have in mind?

Or, how about this one:

http://www.stereophile.com/tubepreamps/905lamm/

One of the things that caught me about this is the measurements section.  The 2nd order (predominant, yummy) distortion rises into lower impedance loads typical of SS amplifiers and is Very Low into higher impedances.  Result - it warms my RWA Sig. 70's just enough to sound like great tubes but it is a crystal clear window through my Yamamoto SET amp.  It's does what it should into either, not tipping the Yammie too far into mushville but being just the shot in the arm the Sigs need.

Somebody please liberate this pre.

Grant,

Congrats, hope your happy with the new tunes, and hope your smilin again.  I figure your room was too small for the other system. Synergy is THE key. Hopefully you will be in Chitown soon, and come over again, cause WOW, my system sounds even BETTER than I have ever thought it would.  Ask Markr7.

Good luck, my friend, and if ya need anything, let me know :thumb:
