I just got the album "She" which I think is spectacular. I have become a fan.
What other albums would you guys recommend?

My favorite is called "Lofty's Roach Souffle".  It is all instrumental with Harry on piano with a string bass and drum set.  It is one of my all time favorites.

I heard the album "Harry Connick Jr" many years ago, and was completely surprised.  It was another instrumental album, with Herlin Riley, Reginal Veal and Ron Carter playing on it, and it was really very good.  Probably not a lot like "She", though.  But good enough that I'd encourage you to check out any of his instrumental work.

She is my favorite Connick Jr. cd as well.  Interestingly enough, it never got great reviews:

Besides She, I really liked the following:

Thanks Guys.
Chadh,
Its the intrumentals that I really like a lot. Have never heard such arrangments like that before.
On She album the tracks after both "Follow the music" short tracks are really something.

"She" is my favorite HCJ album by far.  Unfortunately, it appears to be a unique style for him, and something he has not done since.  A rather unique sound, with great lyrics.

Hi Guys,

I just got "Oh My Nola", a couple of days ago and agree its nothing like "She" but is different but in a nice way. Will look out for "Lofty's Roach Souffle" and "Harry Connick Jr" from Ebay, Amazon if I can't find it in the stores.

Agree strongly with "She".  It takes a couple of listens but it is innovative, it rocks  and has a nice N.O. flavor as well. good call. I heard a CD of his which was mostly big band. It was hard to follow. He puts his own twist on the standards and some don't come out well. I saw a video of him once with Dr. John. Did they ever record together?

Yesterday I got "Only You" which to me is really all about his singing. I would say he was himself and yet like Frank Sinatra. I guess I could also say the same about Michael Buble's latest. I just love the song "Everything".

I've got a few of his albums but She is the one I play the most.
