Hi,
In another forum, there's been a discussion going on about output inductors in audio power amps. It was mentioned that the schematics on the Bryston web site show a 2uH inductor value at the output for most (maybe all?) of the power amp schematics listed there. Then someone mentioned that the Stereophile test data for the 4B at this link
http://stereophile.com/solidpoweramps/592bryston/index3.html showed an output impedance of 0.13 Ohms at 20 kHz. That data would indicate that the output inductor value is closer to 1uH. So this suggests a couple of possibilities:
1) The Stereophile output impedance data could be in error, or
2) The actual output inductor value of the 4B could be different from what the schematic says.
At first I was inclined to assume that the Stereophile data was in error, but then I saw a note on the schematic that its correctness wasn't guaranteed. Anybody know if the 2uH value listed on the schematic is the correct one?
Thanks
