I found a great new artist
« on: 19 May 2007, 06:40 am »
For anyone that might be interested in dark ambient, an artist called Skadi released the album Eliwagar. This has become one of my favorite CDs. Very relaxing. The only source I know of for this CD is Soleilmoon Recordings (www.soleilmoon.com). My favorite record label is Cold Meat Industry and this album fits right in with that label even though it is released by Art Konkret. Most highly recommended.

My two favorite Revolting Cocks albums are "Beers, Steers, and Queers" and "Big Sexyland". What's also great is that these albums are available again as remasters. Most highly recommeded!

Trial Of the Bow's Ornamentation is listed as OP but, it's still available at Amazon, as is Rite of Passage. Tonto Yoder turned me on to these two ex punk rockers from Australia who've ever so slightly redefined themselves.   Excellent overview here

Great link  :thumb:

Although the Dark Ambient is a little too dark for my taste, if you follow the links to the other bands, you'll find tons of full length mp3's (even full CD's) that you can legally download to get a better feel for the bands. Some of it is pretty darned good.

I can see its going to take me a while to sift through all of the bands. Great Stuff BTW  :green:
