Pioneer A400 as a power amp

Hi ,just wondered whether its at all possible. I assume a  mod would be necessary and  but  what kind?A friend of mine has asked me .Not something I would attempt myself but if anyone knows this amp maybe they could advise. Dont think it has a preout . Thanks

This brings back good memories! The year is 1993. I had a Pioneer A400 (not the X iteration) and was quite blown away then by the amplifier's clean, neutral sound. In those days, the A400 was regarded as a great budget amplifier, for those on a tight budget. Those with deeper pockets would usually end up with the Audiolab 8000A. I think the A400 still holds quite well by today's standards.

It would make a great amplifier!
