I spend most of my time in the digital world and don't know much about vinyl
but I have an old Garrard SP25 turntable I want to get working. I need to do some basic fixing up. The whole assembly (eg tonearm, drive system etc) is covered in sticky dust. My (first!) question is what is the best thing to clean this with and what should it be lubricated with (e.g. machine oil, graphite etc). I would be grateful for any advice you can offer.
