We encourage Ref 8/8b customers to trade-in to Ref 8.5 V2 which offer future upgrade path. There is just not enough space in the discontinued Ref 8/8b for us to provide further upgrade.
US original Ref 8/8b customers can receive $500/$550 in trade-in credit toward Ref 8.5 V2 MSRP ($1250). This is a generous offer as our appreciation for early customers who supported us. We never forget our customers.
For International Ref 8/8b customers, we will work with the distributors for $400/$450 trade-in credit (we can't offer as much trade-in credit for international customers due to the added overhead).
If you prefer the small chassis of the Ref 8/8b, please wait another 2 months for announcement of upgrade pricing and schedule. We are currently too busy with V2 marketing and production.
